Debbie Carroll is the Retirement Village Manager at the
Golden Years. Debbie’s love for the Golden Years’ residents is clearly evident
and her diverse career experiences have uniquely equipped her to serve in this
role. Whether it’s planning a special outing or event, or handling day to day
administrative tasks, Debbie’s primary focus is enhancing the quality of life
for each individual who calls Golden Years Retirement Village their home.
Debbie was hired in 2006 as the unit clerk in Golden Years’ Health Care Center.
Shortly thereafter, she added the role of human resources manager and served in
both capacities until taking on her current position as Retirement Village
Manager in 2010. Debbie grew up in Delavan, Wisconsin and earned an associate
degree in business administration from Madison Business College in 1980. After
graduation, she moved to Chicago and worked in bookkeeping for Stouffer’s
Restaurant. She then worked at the Chicago International Produce Market and
spent time in the collections department for Omron Electronics. In 1991, she
moved back to Delavan to manage her family’s business, Brandner Property
Management. She is currently in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree in
communications from Aurora University.
